Meet The Team

Professional Radiology Outcomes was founded by Sean Cowan and Dr Martin Timchur (Chiropractor) in 2009.

Together, they identified the need to better support the diagnostic analysis requirements of Specialist and Allied Healthcare Practitioners with more clinically relevant Radiology Reports.

A serial entrepreneur with a private-equity background, Sean leverages his experience to build PRO into a sustainable business that’s kind to team members, supportive of clients and ultimately rewarding to shareholders. His current Business interests are in Healthcare, Infrastructure and Finance.

Sean has an Economics degree from Melbourne University (majors in Accounting and Law), an MBA from Melbourne Business School, is a Certified Master Practitioner in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and contributes a significant amount of time to a variety of charities.

Traveling extensively for Business and pleasure, Sean’s passions are his family, Ocean swimming and Excellent food!

Cathy Hoole joined PRO in 2013 originally in Client Services, and through her commitment, competence and integrity, was appointed our General Manager, Operations in early 2016.

With over 18 years’ experience as a PA within the hospitality and childcare industries, Cathy has outstanding organisational skills and a strong service orientation. Her happy and calm disposition, coupled with a “can do” approach and a commitment to providing outstanding service, makes Cathy a highly valued member of our team.

Cathy holds a Diploma of Community Service and a Diploma in Business Administration.

Living on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Cathy is both a wife and proud mother of three gorgeous children. When Cathy’s not at work she enjoys long walks by the beach and all things gastronomic, from fresh food markets and local producers through to cooking, creating and of course eating great food

Professional Radiology Outcomes was founded by Dr Martin Timchur (Chiropractor) and Sean Cowan in 2009.

Dr Timchur is a former Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging at Macquarie University, Central Queensland University (CQU), the University of Glamorgan and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Martin was an expert panel member for the Australian Chiropractors Association and has provided advice and guidance to various Health Boards and Associations in Australia and Internationally on matters relating to diagnostic imaging.

Since 2009 Dr Timchur has provided Radiological interpretations on over 100,000 conventional x-ray and advanced imaging with a focus on musculoskeletal imaging.

Dr Timchur holds a Masters of Applied Science (Medical Image Interpretation) from Charles Sturt University, a Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Health) and a post-graduate degree in Engineering (Risk Management). From 2004 – 2007, Dr Timchur undertook a 3 year Radiology residency at the University of Glamorgan, where he was also appointed as Senior Lecturer and Senior Clinical Supervisor.

Martin now provides advice and administrative support to PRO’s clients on diagnostic imaging room design, HIA compliance and DIAS accreditation.

Dean has over twenty years senior executive experience in the Australian radiology sector covering operations, business management and strategy development. During his career, he has also had active engagement in policy development, funding and industry representation to government on issues affecting access and availability of radiology services.

Dean is passionate about the role teleradiology can play in improving efficiency in radiology service delivery and how this can positively impact patient outcomes.

Dr Mackinnon was appointed Director of Medical Imaging at Professional Radiology Outcomes in 2016.

Having graduated from University of Sydney before completing his Radiology residency at Westmead (Sydney), Dr McKinnon followed his primary interests to undertake fellowships in Musculoskeletal MRI and Cardiac at Calvary Hospital, Hobart.

As Director is Medical Imaging at PRO, Dr McKinnon is responsible for Medical Governance and oversight. Highly personable, Dr McKinnon works in a collegiate way to constantly improve PRO’s reporting standards and processes.

Outside of work, Angus’ young family keeps him busy!

Claus Oustrup joined PRO in 2013 to lead the business internationally.
Originally from Denmark, Claus’ experience in developing international business is based on a lifetime developing marketing and sales strategies across multiple international markets in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Based for a number of years in Hong Kong before moving to Australia, Claus has led the growth of businesses in the aquaculture, luxury goods and construction industries. More recently, Claus’ focus was directed into the aged-care and health environment where he developed the passion for improving patient health outcomes.

Claus hold a Bachelor of Business in International trade which he undertook after military service within the Danish Queens’ Royal guard.
Claus is a dedicated father and husband to his Danish wife and their two Australian born children. He is also a keen outdoors enthusiast who is passionate for fly fishing, general fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.
